Starts: June 11 – 10:00am
Ends: July 23 – 4:00pm
The ever-popular Open Exhibition returns for its 17th year. As always it draws the best in paintings, prints and drawings from across the south east. Now firmly established in the regional arts calendar, and with a growing number of prizes on offer, the Open is bringing in artists from further afield to compete with regular entrants based in Hampshire and Dorset. The quality continues to rise and the judges have an ever-harder task in selecting items to be included. The Open is also a great opportunity for those seeking high quality, affordable art. This will be a selling exhibition.
Prizes for 17th Annual Open Exhibition (11 June – 23 July) include The Coastal Gallery Award for best abstract work (£350) the Lymington Business Centre Award for overall merit (£200). The Mary Symons Memorial Award for the best print (£250) and the Beaulieu Fine Arts Award for best work by a non-professional artist – £50 worth of framing. Handing-in dates for artwork are Thursday 19 and friday 20 May.
